We are getting married in a simple registry office ceremony. Afterwards we will celebrate in a countryside pub. We have exclusive use of their conservatory, which opens up to a large garden overlooking the Wye Valley. After a delicious lunch, we plan to relax, enjoy the sun in the garden, go for a nice walk through the historic village, and then re-group for coffee, tea, and wedding cake in the afternoon. We can continue to sample the local draft beers and other treats from the bar as long as we like.
TRANSPORT We will organise transport from the registry office to the pub, and from the pub to your accommodation, closer to the date, when we have a better overview about how many people have their own means of transport.
DRESS CODE Please wear whatever you like. Something smart is nice, but not necessary.
PRESENTS We appreciate that you are joining us to celebrate our wedding. That is all we want (i.e. no presents please!).
ADRESSES The ceremony takes place at Belle Vue Centre, 6 Belle Vue Rd, Cinderford GL14 2AB, UK; The reception celebration takes place at The Inn At Penallt, Penallt, Monmouth, Monmouthshire, NP25 4SE, UK

PARKING We will investigate the parking situation at the registry office closer to the time. Check back in here for updates. The pub has a large car park.
PHOTOS Please take pictures during the day, apart from during the ceremony. We will post a way how we can collect the pictures from you here later on. (e.g. via instagram with #OwenJuliaJuly17)
TRAVEL For those flying in, the closest airport is Bristol, followed by Birmingham and Heathrow. It is most convenient to rent a car at the airport and often cheaper than public transport. For those coming by train, the closest train station is Lydney. We will be able to pick you up from there. Another possibility is Gloucester, from where you can take a bus to the Forest of Dean. For those coming by car, we leave you to your sat nav.
ACCOMMODATION We are unfortunately not able to offer you private accommodation. The Rock Lodge has affordable BnB rooms and self-catering apartments close to our 'headquarters' with great views over the hilly countryside. The Forest House has similar prices and distance to where we are staying, but lies in the middle of Coleford. Finally, there is also Braceland campsite . Please book your accommodation soon, since the area is a tourist destination, and we will be there in July.
We would be delighted if you arrived a day or two early and/or stayed a day or two longer. We will organise some activities in this lovely area. We can choose to visit magical woods, ancient mines, castles, pubs, go on boat tours, walks, mountain biking, canoeing and a lot more.
On Friday we will be meeting in the afternoon for a barbecue at Owen's parents' place. We can arrange transport for those with no transport.
For those of you staying on for the day after the wedding we are organising two trips run in parallel.
(1) A 3-hour caving trip to the deep levels of (Clearwell Caves ). "Deep Level visits involve walking, crawling through narrow passageways and scrambling over rocks; down to approximately 200ft underground, discovering natural and mining features along the way." You don't need to have ever done caving before, and all equipment is provided. You will need to wear old clothes and walking boots/shoes or wellies.
(2) A trip to the fantastic Puzzlewood. "The inspiration for the forests of Middle-earth in The Lord of the Rings, such as the Old Forest, Mirkwood, Fangorn or Lothlorien.". It has also featured in the Star Wars films, and Dr Who. (Here's a video showing the place).
After the trips we will reconvene at a local pub for lunch.
